Rail Services Overview
The Rail Services Division has full responsibility for operating rail services within Northern Ireland and Cross-Border train services to/from Dublin. The Division comprises four individual departments:
- Operations
- Customer Services
- Standards and Compliance
- Training Operations
With over 211 track miles and 54 stations/halts, NI Railways now carry over 15m passengers on an annual basis. The Customer centric approach to service delivery has been recognised industry wide, and has been fundamental in the continuing growth of the business. Our fleet comprises of 23 Class 3000 trains (3 x car sets), 20 Class 4000 trains (3 x car sets), and 4 x Enterprise trains (7 x coaches) which operate on the Cross-Border route. Operating a modern fleet, with modern facilities and modern technologies we continue to lead the way in Public Transport, offering high levels of reliability and punctuality.
