Fraudulent activity and scams can be quite sophisticated, so it is important to be aware of the tell-tale signs to spot a scam. If in doubt always check with the organisation through a different channel to verify its legitimacy.
Impostors
Be aware that some websites and emails can be made to look like they’re coming from an organisation when they are not! They tend to ask you to provide personal or sensitive information.
Translink will never ask you to provide payment details or sensitive information over the phone or send you unsolicited emails requesting this information.
