Translink Spirit In Action


The Translink Travel Challenge was organised through the internationally recognised Eco Schools Project to support school aged children make sustainable travel choices on their journey to and from school.

Journeys made through walking, cycling, scooting, using bus or train are all counted as sustainable.

The Latest Campaign

In 2020/21 15 schools completed the Eco Schools Translink Travel Challenge with 3,139 children taking part to make 25,274 sustainable journeys to attend school which is a terrific effort all round. It was the 11th year of the partnership and a year that Climate Action received greater prominence in the news cycle supporting the need for more young people to join up and make a positive difference in their travel patterns.
