The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:
- Some links do not clearly explain their purpose. This fails WCAG 2.4.4 Link Purpose (A).
- Some pages include drag and drop movements which have no accessible alternative. This fails of WCAG 2.5.7 Dragging Movement (AA).
- Some forms controls do not have labels for people using screen readers. This fails 1.3.1 Info and Relationships (A).
- Some pages scroll require two-dimensional scrolling on smaller screens. This fails 1.4.10 Reflow (AA).
- Some interactive components are not far enough apart to avoid them being selected by mistake. This fails 2.5.8 Target Size (AA).
- Some text does not have sufficient contrast with its background colour for people with moderate visual impairments. This fails 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum) (AA).
- Some forms controls do not have sufficient distinct from their surroundings, for people with visual impairments. This fails 1.4.11 Non-Text Contrast (AA).
- Some interactive components require arrow key navigation and do not support standard keyboard tabbing. This prevents users from moving through elements using the expected Tab and Shift + Tab keys. This fails 2.1.1 Keyboard (A) and 2.4.3 Focus Order (A).
How we tested this website
A full audit was carried out with the launch of the website in 2021. This website is also continuously tested as part of the website development process using a combination of:
- in‑house manual testing on a representative sample of webpages
- automated scanning using SilkTide, which tests all webpages
We are working with the Inclusive Mobility and Transport Advisory Committee (IMTAC) to guide future accessibility improvements across Translink digital services.
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
Translink are working with our third-party supplier and content owners to improve accessibility and be fully compliant with the WCAG 2.2 AA standard by May 2027.
