Spring into adventure with Translink

27 March 2024

Spring is in the air and as the clocks move forward and the days and evenings get brighter, Translink is encouraging more people to make the most of the new season with Translink’s great value options like the iLink card for travel across Northern Ireland.

iLink is available for travel on Metro, Glider, NI Railways and Ulsterbus services within five zones in Northern Ireland: zones 1, 2, 3, 4 and the North West zone and is ideal for those who regularly travel by bus and train. When you need more travel you simply top-up.

Commenting on the benefits of the iLink card, Damian Bannon, Area Manager at Translink, said:

“The iLink card is a great way to save money and travel with ease thanks to contactless payment and is particularly useful if you travel by bus and train as it could offer better value for money than buying separate tickets. Plus, you can make as many journeys as you wish on your iLink Card within the travel zone and time-period your card has been issued for, giving you lots of flexibility for journeys throughout the day.”

iLink cards can be topped up with day, weekly and monthly travel at all main Translink bus or train stations as well as PayPoint across NI and Smartlink Agents within Greater Belfast and a range of other venders. Top ups can also be made on board Ulsterbus, Goldliner and NI Railways services and at Ticket Vending Machines at Glider halts.
