Translink Announce Special Coach Travel for Rugby Six Nations

Translink has announced details of dedicated coach services from Belfast Grand Central Station to Dublin for this year’s Six Nations rugby matches in February and March, allowing fans to travel in comfort to catch all the action at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium.
Rugby fans can also take advantage of newly introduced hourly cross border rail services, with pre-booked seats now available online for the 1 February and 8 March sporting fixtures. An additional service is also available on 1st February from Dublin Connolly at 21:50. Tickets for this service must be pre-booked online via the Journey Planner and will not be available to buy at stations on platforms.
John Morgan, Service Delivery Manager at Translink, highlighted the benefits of bus and rail travel for game-day experiences, saying:
"The Six Nation games are always popular sporting events and our dedicated match day buses offer a convenient, stress-free way for fans to get to and from the games without the hassle of driving and parking. Our services are designed to make the day enjoyable from start to finish, so fans can focus on the match and the experience. We would encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment.”
Coach services are available exclusively for online purchase, and tickets will remain on sale until 09:00am on the day of each match. Drop-off points in Dublin will follow Garda Síochána guidance to ensure fan safety and easy access to the stadium.
After the match, coaches will depart 30 minutes following the end of each game for easy return trips.
Departure times for buses are as follows:
Saturday 1 February (Ireland v England)
13:00 departure from Belfast Grand Central (stand 21)
20:00 departure from Dublin - Arrives Belfast Grand Central station approx. 22:00.
Saturday 8 March (Ireland v France)
10:15 departure from Belfast Grand Central (stand 21)
17:30 departure from Dublin - Arrives Belfast Grand Central station approx.19:30.
For convenience, customers will receive their e-tickets by email and can either print their tickets or display them on their phone before boarding. A strict no smoking and no alcohol policies are enforced on all services.
