NEW ZERO EMISSION FLEET

Between March and November we introduced 80 Battery Electric and 23 Hydrogen zero emissions vehicles into our fleet. We currently operate the fourth largest fleet of zero emissions vehicles in the UK and Ireland.

Approximately one-third of Metro services in Belfast now operate on zero emissions technology. There were significant engineering works undertaken to prepare our depots in Belfast for this and further planned additions, including new charging infrastructure and electricity grid upgrades.

In 2023, the entire Foyle Metro Fleet in Derry~Londonderry will also become emissions free with the introduction of a further 38 battery electric buses, making the City among the first in Europe to have a fully zero-emission urban bus fleet.
