TERMS AND CONDITIONS

for rail travel

  • Email confirmation of online bookings will be sent to the email address provided.
  • Customers will be emailed their confirmation order and are required to ‘Collect Tickets’ from Ticket Vending Machine prior to boarding train.  Printed tickets MUST be retained for the return journey
  • Customers MUST allow sufficient time to ‘Collect Tickets’ and transfer to rail special before train departure. Allowing at least 20 minutes before departure.
  • These special standard class Day Return fares are NOT valid on any Enterprise Service and are non-refundable and non-reservable.
  • Refunds are not permitted due to a positive Covid Test.
  • Rail Travel tickets do not guarantee seats which are allocated on a "first come" basis.
  • Customers who arrive at station without confirmation email with ‘Collect Tickets Reference Codes’ or ‘QR codes’ will be charged full fare.
  • Travel is not permitted on any other rail service other than the departure time and date booked.
  • Customers who have selected a Concession Ticket must present a valid smartpass when travelling: NI Senior Citizen 60+ (not applicable for cross-border events), NI Senior Citizen 65+, War disabled, Blind Pass & ROI Senior Smartpass holders.  Full fare will be charged if not in possession of a valid smartpass.
  • Family tickets purchased are only valid for the number of Adults and Children selected during the booking process.  Family tickets are not available on all rail special services.
  • Customers aged 16 years and over are charged an adult fare.
  • Online sales close 30 minutes prior to departure from originating station.
  • Normal Conditions of Carriage apply.
  • NI Railways operate strict No Alcohol and No Smoking policies.
