Translink Human Resources Wins Gold!

"Investors in People Gold Standard for Human Resources"
23rd November 2012

Dear Colleagues,

This week I am delighted to bring you the news that our Human Resources team has been awarded the Investors in People Gold Standard.  This is a tremendous accolade and one that is achieved by fewer than 1% of recognised organisations across the UK.  It is only given to those organisations who can demonstrate excellence in developing and supporting their staff.

The process involved a rigorous assessment that included lengthy interviews with a large number of staff throughout Human Resources.  The division actually needed to successfully meet more than 165 evidence requirements standards that included commitment to corporate values, personal development and social responsibility.

Investors in People (IiP) is the UK’s leading people management business improvement standard, designed to help organisations develop performance through their people. Congratulations to the entire HR team on this fantastic achievement; it really is confirmation of how excellent the people we have working in Translink are.

Also this week we were ‘Highly Commended’ in two categories at the UK Bus Awards, for our highly successful Metro Smart Saturdays campaign and our Safety Bus, which celebrated its ten year anniversary in October this year.  In the International Station Awards held in Ipswich last night, Newry station was Highly Commended in the Small Station category.  Congratulations to everyone on the effort put into achieving this recognition.
