OUR RECRUITMENT & SELECTION PROCESS

Our Recruitment and Selection process is just as much an opportunity for you to ask questions and get to know us and our culture as it is for us to assess you.

To help you succeed in your application we have outlined below the various stages you may be required to complete.  We aim to recruit candidates that demonstrate the skills and behaviours that support Translink’s business strategy, for us, our people make the difference and we are dedicated to building a diverse workforce. Stage 1

Online Application Form

  • You’ll be asked questions to demonstrate how you meet essential and desirable criteria.
  • Do your research on your areas of interest before applying for your chosen role.  
  • Please check your application to ensure you’ve answered each question and have demonstrated the relevant skills and experience you have.
  • If your application form demonstrates that you meet the outlined criteria, then you will be invited to the next stage of the selection process.
Stage 2

Testing and Assessment

  • You may be invited to complete aptitude testing or an assessment centre.  
  • Aptitude tests may be online or in pencil and paper format.  
  • The purpose of this process is to assess certain competencies which are required for a particular role. 
Stage 3

Interview

  • Our interviews are structured and you will usually meet two or three interviewers during your interview. 
  • This is also your opportunity to ask us questions, learn more about us and our culture, and showcase the skills that you can bring to Translink.  
  • You may be required to provide original copies of your qualifications.
  • On some occasions there may be a second stage interview.
Stage 4

Pre-employment Checks

If you are recommended for appointment and offered a role you will be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks:-
  • Provide two references
  • Complete a pre-employment medical
  • Provide original copies of your qualification certificates 
  • Provide an original copy of your passport/long birth certificate.
  • Provide documentation in order to obtain Access NI clearance (role dependant)

Please Note

All recruitment correspondence at each stage of the process will be issued to candidates via email. Please ensure you regularly monitor your email inbox including your junk folder to ensure you do not miss correspondence from us.  

If you have applied for a post and been unsuccessful please be aware that you may not be eligible to re-apply for the same post should it arise again within six months of your previous application.
