RAIL BUSINESS AWARDS

Translink has been successful in the annual Rail Business Awards, winning the prestigious Asset Management and Maintenance Excellence Award for our ‘Rail Health’ strategy.

The UK Rail Business Awards are intended to encourage, recognise and celebrate achievement in every aspect of the rail industry, from daily operations, safety and customer service to technical innovation and major projects.

Translink’s winning strategy was based on the message of ‘Rail Health’, with a programme designed to raise awareness of the need for additional investment the railway network.  The ongoing programme lays out a strategy to upgrade and enhance the railway network, ensuring its long-term safety and reliability, allowing for faster, more efficient journey times, as well as minimising the requirement for further work in those stretches
