Lisburn Road bus services moving to Belfast Grand Central Station | Press News

Translink has announced that Ulsterbus services operating between Belfast and Lisburn will change their terminus to Belfast Grand Central Station from Monday, 1st December, enhancing connectivity and passenger convenience.

The following services will start and end at Belfast Grand Central Station Ulsterbus 22/22a/22b, 23, 24/24a, 523, 525, 530/530a, 538 and 551/551a/551b as well as some peak time 103 services to Glenavy/Crumlin.

School services will also operate from Grand Central Station for:

Malone Integrated College
Rathmore Grammar School
Fort Hill Integrated College
St Mary’s CBS Grammar School (Glen Road) – inbound

Students travelling via scheduled services to the following schools should also note the change:

Royal Belfast Academical Institution
Methodist College
Victoria College
Hunterhouse College

Translink’s Acting General Manager, Bus Services, Phillip Woods said: “This will offer customers greater convenience, access to modern facilities at Grand Central Station and onward bus and train connections, as well as easy integration with cross border services.

“These Ulsterbus services operating along the Lisburn Road will travel through Shaftesbury Square, Great Victoria Street, (stopping outside the Naval Club), Hope Street, Durham Street/Boyne Bridge Place and Grosvenor Road, with the final stop at Belfast Grand Central Station.

“Journeys towards Lisburn will travel from Belfast Grand Central Station, along Great Victoria Street and Dublin Road, en route to Lisburn”.

Phillip concluded: “It is easy and quick to buy tickets for Translink services using contactless payments or the mLink mobile ticketing App which offers a range of pre-paid tickets and travel cards. It makes ticket purchase quick, easy and convenient, while supporting our drive towards a more efficient, sustainable public transport network.”
