6 new buses for Bangor and Newtownards

New vehicles represent fleet investment of £850k

Ulsterbus passengers in the Newtownards and Bangor areas are set to benefit from the introduction of six new modern buses to the local fleet. Representing an investment of around £850,000 in conjunction with the Department for Infrastructure, they will operate on the town service routes in both towns.

The new buses are in line with latest high quality fleet standards, with comfortable seating, USB charging points and CCTV. They are also fully accessible with extra space for both a wheelchair and a buggy.

Ulsterbus Service Delivery Manager for Newtownards and Bangor, David Graham said: “We are delighted to see this investment in the local fleet and are confident this modernisation will contribute to even greater customer satisfaction on the routes.”

These new buses come as Ulsterbus celebrates its 50th Anniversary serving the local community.
