Translink was established in April 1996 when Citybus, NI Railways and Ulsterbus came together to form one company

We operate 12,500 services each day, with a fleet of 1,400 buses, coaches and trains which between them, travel 44 million miles each year.

Public transport is essential to the economic, social and environmental well-being of our society, which means we touch the lives of everyone in Northern Ireland, not just those that use our services – before the pandemic, we were carrying almost 85m passengers on an annual basis, the highest figures ever recorded.  As we build back, we are determined that bus and rail travel should become even more accessible in the years ahead.

Our Vision is to be your first choice for travel in Northern Ireland and over the last 25 years we have worked hard to continually develop our services to attract more and more people to get on board.
