THIRD PARTY WORKS

Contact the Third Party Works (TPW) team at the earliest opportunity if you propose any work within 50 metres of the railway boundary or within 200m of a level crossing or with the potential to cause ‘blocking back’.

Our team will provide relevant information and requirements applicable to your proposals to protect the railway while you complete your works.

The railway is a dangerous environment where your staff, Translink or the general public may be put in danger as a result of your actions / omissions in relation to Third Party Works near the railway. We understand these risks and requirements to mitigate these where possible with you to ensure the safe operation of trains, safety of passengers and workforce.

Contact us as far in advance of the proposed works as possible to allow necessary consultation of proposals and requirements for you to meet your programme dates while mitigating potential risks to the railway.

Construction Minimum Requirements

Translink Construction Minimum Requirements apply to third party contracts where a party, other than Translink, engages a Contractor to carry out work on or near Translink Infrastructure.

Safety Critical Competency

Personal Track Safety course: Personnel who are required to access or work on or near to the railway track are required to complete a Personal Track Safety course. This should be organised well in advance of commencing work as a specific medical and toxicology must be passed before the training can be undertaken.
