Lane closures for essential Belfast Grand Central Station works

Belfast Grand Central Station, NI’s flagship infrastructure project, continues to progress at pace with bus services to open to the public on Sunday 8^th September.

Delivering a project of this scale includes delivering utility connections as well as significant investment in public realm improvement works to enhance pedestrian safety, walking routes, accessibility and cycling.

To facilitate necessary enhancements to crossings at the Great Victoria St / Grosvenor Rd / Howard St junction, GRAHAM may require lane closures at this junction on the following dates:

• Saturday 31st August and Sunday 1st September (during daytime hours)

An inbound and outbound traffic lane will be maintained at all times on all roads at this junction.

These lane closures are essential to enable the works to be carried out efficiently and safely. Works at this junction during weekdays will also be continuing as previously notified.

Translink is encouraging people to consider using public transport to access the city during these works as road users may expect some delays.

Passengers should check the website www.translink.co.uk or Journey Planner before they travel and allow some extra time for their journey.
