yLink Travel Card

FREE card for 16 to 23 year olds

Like so many of our passengers, young people have been impacted by the recent pandemic in numerous ways such as their education, social life and money. Translink have removed the £8 card fee for yLink to help 16 – 23 get back on board with yLink and get a massive 1/3 off bus and rail travel* within Northern Ireland plus you also get discounts and offers on exciting brands!

yLink is a smartcard for all 16-23 years olds using Translink services within Northern Ireland. You get 1/3 off Translink bus and rail travel* in Northern Ireland and up to 50% off Enterprise for up to 8 years – and the card is now FREE! yLink discounts are available on standard adult full fares only. No further discount is available on Translink promotional fares (*terms and conditions apply).  We understand public transport is a vital link for young people to access education, social activities, medical appointments and visiting family and friends. We want you to feel safe when using our services – we’ve introduced:

  • New hand sanitizing stations and enhanced cleaning in station and on board.
  • Social distancing measures.
  • Reduced touch points with more ways to pay on mLink for yLink customers (no change policy on board).
