Family & Friends Tickets

Enjoy our great value Family & Friends tickets for only £23 for unlimited day travel on all Translink services within Northern Ireland. Or the Metro and Glider Family Day Ticket is only £10 for unlimited day travel. Tickets permit up to 2 adults and 4 children.

Family & Friends tickets are available from the driver on the day of travel, from main bus and train stations or Glider Ticket Vending Machines at halts.

There will be no time restrictions on these tickets from 28th March to 5th April 2024, and 1st July to 31st August 2024.

1. Valid for up to 2 adults and 4 children (minimum of 1 adult & 1 child).
2. Available Monday to Friday after 0930 and all day on Saturdays and Sundays (anytime).  Time restrictions may not apply during promotional periods. 
3. Metro and Gilder Family Day Ticket available to purchase on Metro services, at all main Bus and Rail Stations and at Glider Ticket Vending Machines at halts.
4. Translink Family & Friends Ticket available to purchase on all NI Railways, Metro, Ulsterbus & Goldliner Express services within Northern Ireland only, at all main Bus and Rail Stations and at Glider Ticket Vending Machines at halts.
5. Translink Family & Friends ticket fare is £23. Additional children under 16 will be charged at £4.  Maximum of 4 Additional Child Tickets can be added.
6. Metro and Glider Family & Friends ticket fare is £10. Additional children under 16 will be charged at £1.50.  Maximum of 4 Additional Child Tickets can be added.
7. Children under 5 years will be counted as part of a party.
8. Tickets are available from the first bus/train of use or station on day of use.
9. Not available from Smartlink ticket agents.
10. Tickets must be retained for each journey during the day of purchase & the group must travel together.
11. Translink Family & Friends Ticket allows travel on ANY scheduled Translink bus or rail service within Northern Ireland. 
12. Fare available on paper tickets only.
13. Discount not valid in conjunction with any other offer
14. Please note Additional Child Tickets are not available from Ticket Vending Machines or if purchased online.
