Ulsterbus Smartlink lets you pay for travel in two ways. You can add a set number of journeys to a Multi-Journey (MJ) Card. Or, if you travel on Ulsterbus Town Services, you can add unlimited travel for a day, a week or a month.
Buying and topping-up
The prices below show the cost of an Ulsterbus Smartlink MJ Card for adults and children travelling between Dungannon and Belfast, and Ballymena and Belfast. For prices on other routes, contact your local Ulsterbus station or call the Translink Contact Centre on 028 90 66 66 30.

Buying and topping-up an Ulsterbus Multi-Journey card
You must buy an Ulsterbus Smartlink MJ Card with at least 10 journeys on it.
You can add 10 journeys to your card on board the bus. You can also add 10, 20, 30 or 40 journeys at Ulsterbus stations, Visit Belfast in Donegall Square North, or any PayPoint store.
You can add up to 40 journeys at one time, and your card can hold up to 50 journeys.
You can buy a Smartlink card online for a one-off £1 fee.
The £1 card fee is only paid once because you can use your Smartlink card again and again.
You can also top up your Smartlink card at PayPoint stores across Northern Ireland.
Smartlink Town Service travel card fares
When you buy your Town Service Travel card, you will pay a one-off charge of £1.00.

Buying and Topping Up a Town Service Travel Card
If you travel regularly on Ulsterbus Town Services, a Smartlink Travel Card could save you money.
You can add unlimited travel for one day, one week or one month to your card.
A day ticket lasts for one day from the first time you use it, not the day you buy it. A weekly ticket lasts for 7 days from the first time you use it. A monthly ticket lasts for one month from the first time you use it. For example, if you first use it on 25 February, it will run until 24 March.
Once you start using your Travel Card, you can add another day, week or month of travel.
You can add one day or one week of travel on board a bus or at an Ulsterbus station. Monthly travel can only be added at an Ulsterbus station.
You can also add one day, one week or one month of travel at any PayPoint store.
PayPoint stores are located across Northern Ireland.
