TYF Road to Rights Roadshow 2024
To celebrate World Children’s Day on 20th November, Translink have partnered with the NI Commissioner for Children and Young People (NICCY) and the NI Youth Forum (NIYF) to deliver a week of regional youth participation events centred around public transport in NI for young people and Child Rights/Youth Voice.
This year’s youth roadshow will raise awareness on the above topic, through engagement with young people, their parents/ guardians, and professionals working with, and for, children and young people.
The Translink Youth Forum (TYF) are working alongside the NICCY Youth Panel (NYP) to develop a Child Rights Roadshow, visiting key towns and cities between Monday 18th and Friday 22nd November, 2024.
The Roadshows will be designed to give young people the opportunity to take part in a variety of workshops creatively designed by the TYF and the NYP. These aim to gain young people’s insights of their experiences with public transport in NI and raise awareness of children’s rights/youth participation.
The Roadshow will visit the following locations on the following dates:
18th November 2024 Newry
19th November 2024 Enniskillen
20th November 2024 Derry/Londonderry
21st November 2024 Magherafelt
22nd November 2024 Belfast
