Graduate Programme

Translink offers a Graduate Training Programme for our Operations and Engineering Graduate Training Programmes.

Our challenging 2 year (Operations) and 3 year (Engineering) training programmes will see you undertake placements throughout the business to provide you with the all-round skills you need to be a future business or engineering manager in Translink.It will involve hard work but the skills and experience gained could develop you into a future Manager running a busy bus depot or railway line, an engineering department, or other management role.

By undertaking one of our Graduate Programmes you will be joining a highly successful public transport organisation, employing in excess of 3800 people throughout the Province with a turnover of £194.8m. Our bus and train services focus on delivering integrated travel solutions that are attractive, sustainable and good value.

What Qualifications You Need

  • at least a 2.2 degree in any discipline for the Operations Graduate Programme

  • at least a 2.2 degree in Mechanical, Electrical or combined BEng (Hons) for the Engineering Graduate Programme, plus experience of using word processing, spreadsheets and Autocad)


What Skills and Experience You Need

  • minimum of one years' experience working in industry, commerce or retail (this can include your year placement)

  • prepared to work at any of our locations in Northern Ireland

  • a current driving licence

  • be hard working, committed and determined, with excellent customer service and people skills and not afraid of a challenge

  • be ambitious and self-motivated with the confidence to communicate with people at all levels inside and outside of the Company

  • have the flexibility to work in any department or at any location


Ready for Management
