We have joint forces with our chairty partner Cancer Focus NI for our "Travel to a Healthier Life" campaign to encouraging staff and passengers to put their best feet forward and adopt a healthier lifestyle to help lower the risk of cancer.
1 in 2 will develop cancer in their lifetime. 82,200 families are living with cancer in Northern Ireland
Every year in Northern Ireland around 12,000 local people get the news that they have cancer. Thankfully two thirds survive but, sadly, we still lose more than 4,000 loved ones every year.
The good news is that up to 50% of cancers can be prevented if you maintain a healthy lifestyle, have regular checks and use screening services.
Cancer Focus NI will be offering health promotion and screening services in stations throughout this partnership to help staff and passengers make changes that will support a healthier lifestyle. floow us on Twiiter and Facebook for when and where they will be.
Many cancer patients, family and friends use our services to get to appointments and visit their loved ones going through cancer treatment. If you are able to support this partnership in a practical way you can text donate using the code CANC18 and an amount £5, £10 or £25) to 70070 and your gift will be charged to your mobile phone bill.
