Translink Schools' Gold Cup

We support top NI schools football talent with Irish FA Translink Schools Gold Cup.

Into its second year now, the Translink Schools Gold Cup involves eight post-primary schools who have been awarded the Gold Schools Quality Mark accreditation by the Irish FA Foundation.

The 8 schools involved during 2019/20 are:

  • Ashfield Boys, Belfast
  • Bangor Academy
  • Belfast Boys Model
  • Holy Cross College, Strabane
  • Laurelhill Community College, Lisburn
  • Our Lady & St Patricks College, Knock
  • St Columb's College, Derry~Londonderry
  • St Malachy's College, Belfast
This exciting competition also promotes exercise and healthier lifestyles, something Translink believes in strongly as an 'active travel' provider. And, as the biggest provider of school transport in Northern Ireland, we're proud to be supporting home-grown talent and giving pupils the opportunity for some friendly competition, teamwork and a platform to showcase their football skills.
Schools Football

Schools Football is one of the main areas where the Irish FA Foundation can access and influence young players on a regular basis.
