Belfast will host the 39th Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon on Sunday 3rd May with Translink as the official transport partner. Also available for entering are the Wheelchair Race, Relay Event, Fun Run and 8 mile walk.
The route is largely the same as last year, making for a flatter, faster run. The Belfast City Marathon event is renowned for the incredible local support and crowds to cheer you on throughout your 26.2 miles! For further details and to sign up, visit www.belfastcitymarathon.com
Should you wish to participate in any aspect of the RiverRock Belfast City Marathon please consider running in aid of our charity partner, Cancer Focus NI. Please contact Louise Greer, Corporate Fundraising Officer, firstname.lastname@example.org for information on how you can fundraise for them.
1 in 2 will develop cancer in their lifetime. 82,200 families are living with cancer in Northern Ireland
Every year in Northern Ireland around 12,000 local people get the news that they have cancer. Thankfully two thirds survive but, sadly, we still lose more than 4,000 loved ones every year.
The good news is that up to 50% of cancers can be prevented if you maintain a healthy lifestyle, have regular checks and use screening services.
