Culture Night

20 & 21 September 2019

As sure as day follows night, Culture Night Belfast are delighted to present Culture, Night and Day on 20 and 21 September!  They are making a weekend of it this year, and Culture Day Belfast will continue where Culture Night left off the evening before, with the uniquely thrilling blend of arts, culture, creativity and fun, in another free, inclusive, accessible family-friendly programme.  Translink is delighted to be supporting this with additional services and enhanced capacity.

Culture Night Belfast will be animating every corner of the city centre, and some unexpected places along the way on an evening and a day of exploration and adventure.

Among the dizzying array of specially and carefully curated events this year they have Brilliant Trails at Belfast Harbour, the first ever Street Feast at St Anne’s Cathedral as part of Taste the Island, our very own Translink Metro Cabaret Bus, magical musical mayhem with Mix the City at Belfast City Hall, and the Cathedral Park will be transformed for one magical evening into Light Gardens courtesy. Come and join for Culture Night...and day!

The Translink Metro Cabaret Bus

Alternative family friendly mini Cabaret on a double decker bus! Hosted by THE Master of Ceremonies Stephen Beggs and featuring comedy, magic, Drag Queen Story time, music and more…. The Metro bus will be situated on Donegall Street in the heart of the Cathedral Quarter, just in front of the entrance to North Street Arcade. As with all Culture Night and Day events this is free and a new act starts on the hour and lasts 30-45 mins throughout these times below.

  • Culture Night (Friday 20th September) 4pm - 9pm
  • Culture Day (Saturday 21st September) 11am- 4pm
Additional Metro Services

Leave the car behind for Culture Night and travel with Translink Metro, providing special Nightmover services departing Belfast City Centre at 11.30pm, Midnight, 12.30am and 1.00am

Additional NI Railways Services

There will be additional capacity on selected trains for both Culture Night and Culture Day 2019 along with the following additional services.
