Cultural Branding Award

Julie Sherlock, Translink pictured with Victoria Vettese from Cahoots NI, Mary Nagele-Traenor, Chief Executive Arts & Business NI and Allianz Ireland CEO, Brendan Murphy at the Arts & Business Awards, held recently at the Theatre on the Mill in Newtownabbey [January 2015].

Translink and Cahoots were awarded the ‘Cultural Branding’ prize for their rail safety project ‘Predict’ which was performed for over 4000 young people in 2014.  iPredict, currently on tour in schools, youth groups and train stations, is aimed at  9-15 year olds and uses performance, magic and digital media to predict the outcomes of an imaginary train journey. It challenges young people’s thoughts about rail safety including pedestrian trespass, train speeds, stopping distances and technology distraction.
