Winter Weather Preparations in Full Swing

This week I was making a short video about our winterisation programme which shows how our services are ready to take to the roads and railways to keep our customers moving. We are also geared up for Christmas with a range of Festive Fares and seasonal activity in our bus and railway stations

This week, I was out and about to make a short film about all the things we do to keep our passengers moving in bad weather. It is so important that we prepare to maintain excellent service performance and deliver on our vision to be your first choice for travel.

The new video shows our winter weather preparations in full swing such as our train driver training simulator, engineering staff preparing our bus and train fleet and operations staff clearing and gritting stations to keep them safe for customers.  We are also using the video to encourage passengers to take advantage of all the real time passenger information available particularly through our contact centre, website and social media platforms, particularly as more and more people are mobile device dependent. 

We will push the new video out through the press and on our website and social media channels next week - a big thanks to all the teams who took part and accommodated the film crew.

As Christmas lights start switching on in towns and cities across Northern Ireland, we are also ready with a package of festive fares and surprises for our customers. This week we partnered with Young at Art to deliver workshops to help children compose their important letters to Santa. We have also partnered with local councils to promote local bus and train travel for shopping and socialising and  over the coming weeks we will have a range of marketing and PR initiatives in place to help get everyone into the Christmas spirit!

Please familiarise yourself with all our new fare offers and discounts as we move into the busy festive season - this is a busy time for us, but it is also a great opportunity to get more people on board to try our services.
