Supporting Our Community
We work hard to support the local community we serve. Whilst life as we all know it may have changed dramatically, our Translink Spirit certainly hasn’t.

We will be donating funds from our no change on board policy to the NHS Together Charity and our charity Partner Cancer Focus.
Our #ChasetheRainbow campaign has helped reach out to thousands of people to share messages of hope and solidarity. We have been inspired by all the children’s rainbow drawings we have received and created colourful billboards displaying them on buses, on billboards and in our stations to remind people that they’re not alone and it’s crucial we all act together to save lives. Our Trainbow has also inspired much positivity from the wider public as it travels across the network.
It is our aim to keep Northern Ireland full of hope over the coming months as we work through the steps to bring us to better days ahead.
In addition, our colleagues across the network have also been doing what they can to support those in need. These include:
- Supporting the NHS: Providing additional shuttle bus services to help front line NHS workers access local hospitals. Also, staff shuttles for the NI Blood Transfusion Service to facilitate social distancing to maintain this vital service.
- Employee Support in the Community: Many of our staff have raised money for food parcels and hampers to share with front-line staff in local hospitals and nursing homes. They have also put gift bags together for those front-line health workers having to stay away from family at this difficult time. Our Easibus services in Belfast have also joined the cause, delivering groceries and vital medical supplies to many of the vulnerable and elderly people that would normally travel with us. We are extremely proud of our employees who themselves are key workers delivering essential services and still thinking of others.
- Looking after our colleagues: We are continuing to look at ways to support the overall wellbeing of our employees. This includes providing on-line learning and webinars with information on areas of interest to people, such as mental and financial wellbeing and other health and wellbeing issues.
- No Change Policy: We will be donating funds from our no change on board policy to the NHS Together Charity and our charity Partner Cancer Focus.
