New Translink 'station' at Belfast Welcome Centre

"information and tickets for visitors and 'locals' "
7th February 2014

Dear Colleagues,

Translink now has a new ticketing and information 'station' based in the recently opened (and very impressive) Belfast Welcome Centre (Donegall Square North). We have two colleagues based there, working alongside the Visit Belfast team. The information desk opened last month and is already proving very popular amongst visitors and our regular customers, who can get information on all our services and purchase Translink tickets.

Tourism is now hugely important for the city and for Northern Ireland; over 400,000 people are expected to visit the new Welcome Centre this year, so it is vital for us to be 'where the action is' in the growing tourism industry. The centre is open seven days a week, summer and winter - drop in; it is for 'locals' as well as visitors! For more information go to www.translink.co.uk/visitbelfast

Finally, there will be a Valentine's Day cake sale in Central Station on Friday 14th February between 0730 and 1800. If you would like to bake or donate buns, please contact Joe on extension 2373. I plan to do the eating. All proceeds will go to Macmillan Cancer Support. Your support is appreciated.
