Operational performance of the bus businesses goes from strength to strength.

Goldline passenger journeys continue to grow strongly and the operational performance, particularly of our Belfast – Dublin Airport X1 and X2 coach services has received much positive feedback. This high profile service, which people depend on to get to holiday flights on time and without hassle now has extra services and online booking. There is a hard working team 'on the ground' at the Europa Buscentre and bus operations and marketing teams have been working with Bus Éireann. This focus has resulted in a marked upturn in customer satisfaction this summer.

In addition, the punctuality performance of Metro services has received a sharp increase in passengers taking the time to compliment our employees. This shows our customers are seeing we are 'getting things right'. These both show a strong customer focus and desire to deliver the best service possible to our passengers.

This week, the East Belfast Arts Festival teamed up with Translink and Arts & Business NI to deliver a unique way for passengers to view the often unexpected works of art in our city, through the East Belfast Public Art Trail. From wall murals to sculptures and hidden treasures, visitors to the East of the City are encouraged to pick up a free booklet and hop on board Translink Metro bus services in East Belfast to discover for themselves the artistic gems on the streets of East Belfast. The 2nd East Belfast Arts Festival runs from 28 August-1st September. The trail map can be picked up for free from Translink stations in Belfast, across festival venues or downloaded on www.eastbelfastartsfestival.org.  This partnership again demonstrates that we are a vital part of a vibrant city which is celebrating its creative heritage and talent.
