Translink and Newtownabbey Borough Council issue rail trespass warning

Councillor Robert Hill, Newtownabbey Borough Council and Keith Pollock, Level Crossing Safety Coordinator with Translink pictured at Mossley to remind members of the public of the dangers associated with trespass on the rail network.

Translink has recently delivered information leaflets to around 500 homes in the area and Keith Pollock said, “The safety of our employees, passengers and local residents is NI Railways’ top priority, but if the risk of serious injury or even death isn’t enough to deter, we are highlighting the fact that Translink will prosecute trespassers, leading to a fine of up to £1000 and/or a criminal record.”
