Translink is the main provider of public transport in Northern Ireland. We are dedicated to providing co-ordinated bus and rail services that are easy to use, reliable and comfortable. We are also committed to making sure that our services are safe and accessible to everyone.

This booklet sets out our current service levels for disabled people and those older people who may find using transport difficult. It contains information and advice on how to use our services, and contact details to help you plan your journey.

Audio Visual System on Metro Buses

New Audio Visual Information Systems on Translink’s Metro bus network will include audio announcements and visual displays both on board buses and at key bus stops around Belfast City Centre. The system is currently operating on Metro Corridors 4 (Newtownards Road) and 7 (Ormeau Road); the system will next be introduced across the entire Metro network in line with the final implementation plan and funding available.

Who Audio Visual System helps?

The Audio Visual System helps all our passengers in particular those blind or partially-sighted who may be unsure of where they are on a journey or when to get off or on. It will also help visitors using public transport to explore the city.
