Terms & Conditions

1. Nominees must meet the following criteria:

  • Legends must have made a positive impact in their field of expertise (e.g. Arts, Sport, Science & Business Innovation, etc.)
  • Legends must have a strong association with Belfast/Greater Belfast (born in Belfast/Greater Belfast AND/OR have lived in Belfast/Greater Belfast at some point)
  • Must be living legends
  • Legends must be non-political

 

2. The nominating period will open at 12am Thursday 7 April 2016 and will be accessible through translink.co.uk/metrolegends. Each nominator will provide a full name and an optional explanation (max: 100 words) explaining why this person should win.

 3. You can make as many different nominations as you wish.

4. Nominations must be submitted by 11.59pm Sunday 17 April 2016. Nominations after this time will not be included.

5. Following the nomination deadline, an independent panel will then select a shortlist.

6. Once the shortlist has been announced, the second voting phase will begin and the public will have the chance to vote for the final two Metro Legends.

7. Voting for the final two will open at 12am Thursday 21 April 2016 and close at 11.59pm Thursday 12th May 2016. Votes after this time will not be counted.

8. Only votes submitted via translink.co.uk/metrolegends will be counted.

9. Once the shortlist has been announced, return to translink.co.uk/metrolegends to vote for your final two.

10.  The two Metro Legends as voted for by you will be announced during Bus and Train Week in June 2016.
