	Northumberland is “England’s Border Country”, a land of history and heritage set amidst some of the most exquisite scenery in Britain. Today it still contains many reminders of some of the country’s most important historical periods. Newcastle-upon-Tyne is ideally located in the centre of Northumbria and is just a half day drive from Stranraer.
	The popular tourist attraction of Rheged marks the half way point, whilst the remainder of the journey takes us along the famous Hadrian’s Wall. Beamish is within easy reach for day trips during the tour while the exciting Wet ‘n’ Wild and the Blue Reef Aquarium are all close to the centre. A visit not to be missed is the superb Life Interactive World, where promoting the discovery, understanding and enjoyment of the world around us alongside contemporary science issues are of great importance.
