and Cochem
Trier, the ancient Roman city on the Mosel, has a special market in front of the Cathedral. Hotel Deutscher-Hof enters into the spirit with Christmas trees and hot punch, and we visit the charming smaller towns of Bernkastel-Kues and Cochem, further down stream.
Day 1 - Sunday
We sail from Belfast to Stranraer and on by coach to Hull for the overnight crossing to Europoort in Holland.

2 - Monday
From Europoort we travel into the heart of Europe to Germany’s oldest city, Trier, on the banks of the Moselle River. St Nicholas treats awaits you (fruit and Christmas sweets) with punch in the hotel lobby before dinner.

3 - Tueday
After a lavish buffet breakfast we have a guided tour through this ancient Roman city.
The rest of the day is free to visit the Christmas Market, in the shadow of the Cathedral. Stroll through the many assorted market stalls and pick up a few unique Christmas presents, all with the help of a hot cup of mulled wine!

4 - Wednesday
This morning we travel downstream to the beautiful towns of Bernkastel-Kues and Cochem. Back in the hotel we have a gala farewell dinner this evening.

5 - Thursday
We leave Trier this morning and commence our return journey - our home sailing is via Zeebrugge, and we hope to have time for a short stop in the charming city of Brugge en-route.

From Hull we retrace our outward journey, arriving back in Belfast at the Europa Buscentre around 10.00pm.
