Christmas in Donegal

Donegal holds a special place in the hearts of many Ulsterbus travellers, and this year we are again delighted to join with the Kee family in extending a warm Christmas welcome to their historic hotel in Ballybofey.

Day 1 - Wednesday
Christmas Eve

We leave Belfast at 11.00am and stop in Derry city around lunchtime before continuing to Ballybofey. The hotel manager will greet you, and hot punch and mince pies will be served by the open log fire in Harry’s Bar.

Dinner this evening is followed by live entertainment, Christmas carols and a competition with prizes.

Day 2 Thursday -
Christmas Day

The day starts with a full Irish breakfast and there are various churches within walking distance for those wishing to attend Christmas Day services.Hot punch is served before traditional Christmas lunch with all the trimmings, including a complimentary glass of wine. Santa is in attendance and there will be more competitions.

This evening there will be a full-dressed buffet followed by a quiz by the fire in Harry’s Bar.

Day 3 - Friday -
St Steven's Day

Following breakfast, a trip through the mountains to the coast is planned for those who wish to blow the cobwebs away (weather permitting).

For others there is unlimited use of the impressive leisure club. Home-made soup and sandwiches as well as tea/coffee is available on request. The daily competition for prizes continues later and dinner is again served in the Looking Glass Restaurant. The final evening comes to a close with more live entertainment in Harry’s Bar.

Day 4 - Saturday

We depart after breakfast and our route home differs from the outward trip, travelling via Donegal town and along the edge of Lower Lough Erne, with a lunch time stop in Enniskillen before returning to Belfast in late afternoon.
