A pleasant two hour boat trip on the amazing Stena HSS takes you to Stranraer, in Southern Scotland. Less than that again, by coach, through Dumfries and Galloway and along the edge of the Solway Firth brings you to the Cairndale Hotel, in Dumfries town - in recent years our base for a variety of tours.

Its location makes for easy access to the neighbouring Borders and English Lake District, and its excellent facilities and enthusiastic, pro-active management provide in-house entertainment to ‘haste ye back!’
 

Christmas Cabaret & Shopping Weekends
Day 1 - Friday

We leave Belfast on the mid-day HSS and arrive at the Cairndale in time to freshen up before dinner and a little in-house entertainment.

Day 2 - Saturday

No time to lie in this morning - you have some shopping to do! After an early breakfast we leave the hotel at 8.30am and travel to the Metro Centre in Gateshead - a shopper’s paradise.

We should have about 5 hours here before returning to Dumfries in time to freshen up before dinner and a super night’s entertainment - 9th Nov departure - Just John & Paul (Beatles tribute band); 7th Dec departure - 70s tribute night with Glamd.

Day 3 - Sunday

We depart after breakfast, catching the afternoon HSS from Stranraer, arriving back at the Europa Buscentre at 5.00pm.
