The new 5 star Hilton Hotel in the fabulous city of Venice may well be the memorable highlight of this tour, but our time in neighbouring Verona and on the shores of Lake Garda and Lake Maggiore, not to mention tours through the Alps on both outward and return journeys make this a trip to remember.
It is recommended you take 2 small pieces of luggage instead of 1 medium size suitcase - ask at time of booking.
Day 1 - Monday
We leave Belfast and travel on the morning HSS to Stranraer and on by coach to Hull, where we take the overnight sailing to Belgium.

Day 2 - Tuesday
From Zeebrugge we travel south into France, where we overnight in Nancy.
We continue onward through Alsace to Switzerland today, with a welcome break in the heart of the Alps at the Paxmontana Hotel (a popular base for our Swiss tours).
We descend from the Alps today into Northern Italy, passing the famous Italian Lakes of Maggiore, Como and finally Garda, before arriving at Romeo & Juilet's Verona.
Our local guide joins us this morning for our tour along the shores of beautiful Lake Garda, the largest of the Italian lakes. We will see as much of it as is possible in one day, with time to explore Riva del Garda, a delightful town at the northern tip of the lake.
Day
6 - Saturday Guided tour of Verona
This morning we have a walking tour of Verona, the most romantic of all Italian cities. We see Juliet's house with its famous balcony and the celebrated amphitheater. The rest of the day is free to explore.
Day 7 - Sunday Guided tour of Venice
We leave Verona early this morning in order to arrive in Venice in mid-morning. After checking into our hotel (porterage is not provided at this hotel), our guide escorts us on an introductory tour along the canals, ending in St Mark's Square. We have a few hours free to explore before re-joining our river boat to return to the hotel in time for dinner.
Today is completely free to enjoy Venice. Dinner is not included this evening to allow the opportunity to sample one of the many fine restaurants this fantastic city has to offer.
Day 9 - Tuesday Lake Maggiore
After a relaxing breakfast we make our way back to the Italian mainland and drive east, passing Lake Garda again. Our final Italian hotel is in Baveno/Stressa, on the banks of Maggiore, the longest of the northern lakes.
