The Cotswolds, the area of gently rolling hills between Stratford-upon-Avon and Bath, takes in Gloucestershire and hundreds of small towns and villages in the neighbouring counties of Warwickshire, Oxfordshire, Worcester and Herefordshire.

From our base, the 4 star Holiday Inn Stratford, we visit Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold, Broadway and Blenheim Palace, and relax on Thursday with a free day in beautiful Stratford-upon-Avon.

Day 1 - Sunday

From Belfast we travel south to catch the HSS from Dun Laoghaire to Holyhead. We continue to Stratford and our hotel for the next 5 nights.

Blenheim Palace today, one of England’s most spectacular stately homes. Set in 12,000 acres, with around 100 acres of formal garden, the house was built for the Duke of Marlborough and later, in 1874, gained further fame as the birthplace of Winston Churchill.
