We leave Belfast on the early morning HSS and travel to Stranraer. From here we hug the coast for about an hour before our first stop at Culzean Castle, on a cliff top looking out at the Isle of Arran and Ailsa Craig (Paddy’s Milestone). This stunning Georgian Castle was, for a time, General Eisenhower’s headquarters during World War II - today it is a National Trust property, set in a 500 acre parkland.

This is Robbie Burns Country and we call at the Burn’s National Heritage Park to visit the Tam O’Shanter Experience, Brig O’Doon and the bard’s cottage. Afterwards we proceed to our hotel, to the south-east of Glasgow, stopping briefly at the seaside resort of Largs en-route.

A full day in Edinburgh, Scotland’s historic capital. We are met on arrival by a guide for an introductory tour of the city to get our bearings. The rest of the day is free to explore or shop - we conclude our visit to the city with an evening at the famous Military Tattoo, before returning to Strathclyde. (Dinner not included this evening to allow the opportunity to sample some of Edinburgh’s marvellous restaurants).

After breakfast this morning we travel the short distance into nearby Glasgow where we are again met by a local guide for a city tour. The afternoon is free before we commence our return journey to Belfast, via Stranraer. We arrive back at the Europa Buscentre around 10.00pm.
