Ulster in Bloom is sponsored by Translink, coordinated by Northern Ireland Local Government Association (NILGA) and supported by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board.

This prestigious competition aims to improve and enhance the townscapes and environment of Northern Ireland through the imaginative use of trees, shrubs, flowers, landscaping and keeping them litter and graffiti free with reduced levels of vandalism. This is a community based initiative with many local groups lending a hand to improve the overall appearance of their local areas. Their efforts make Northern Ireland a more attractive and beautiful place to live, work or visit.

Pictured at the plaque presentation of the 29th annual Translink Ulster in Bloom competition are Group Chief Executive of Northern Ireland Transport Holding Company, Mrs Catherine Mason and Cllr. Mrs Margaret McKenzie, High Sheriff, Belfast City Council.
