As part of our commitment to deliver a better rail service, we are carrying out a programme of station enhancements over the coming months.

Work is already being carried out to enhance our stations on the Bangor & Portadown lines (Package 1). Work is now commencing on the Larne* and Derry** lines (Package 2) and will last until Autumn 2008.

While most of the work is being carried out during the day, some work is being carried out at night; however we will make every effort to ensure that any noise is kept to a minimum. Should you have any complaints or difficulties at night, you can contact our contractor, Cleary Contracting Ltd. on 028 9447 2387 or 07811180512.

PACKAGE 1 - BANGOR & PORTADOWN LINES

  • Ongoing - day work. Internal and external works.
  • Sunday 4th & Monday 5th May - day work. Platform closure Botanic - Belfast direction.
    Alternative arrangements: the closest stations to Botanic are City Hospital & Belfast Central.

Improvements

Improvements will include:

• new shelters
• lighting & seating
• improved surfaces
