Translink - Balmoral Show Wednesday 14th to Friday 16th May 2008 11-May-2008 8:29
Translink would like to advise the public that NI Railways are operating extra trains to Balmoral rail halt for the Balmoral Show from Wednesday 14th May to Friday 16th May.
Also passengers can avail of any Metro 9A & 9B and Ulsterbus services 523, 524, 525, 528, 530 and 531 from Belfast to the Balmoral Show.

Metro - East Belfast Band Parade Friday 16 May 2008 16-May-2008 18:00
There will be a band contest in East Belfast on Friday 16th May 2008 commencing at approximately 1930 from London Road.
The bands will parade along the following route approximately every 7 minutes with up to 54 different bands taking part.
Assembly point at 1930 from London Road then via Donard Street, Ravenhill Road, My Lady's Rpad, Cherryville Street, Woodstock Road, Halcome Street, Grovefield Street, Mount Street, Woodstock Road, Beersbridge Road, Castlereagh Road, Willowfielad Street, Woodstock Road, Willowfield Parade, Carlingford Street, Killowen Street, Woodstock Road and My Lady's Road.
The following diversions will apply during the parade:
Metro Services 6A, 18 & 19
Service 6A, operate as normal to Albert Bridge Road, then via Castlereagh Street,
Castlereagh Road and Ladas Drive to Cregagh Road and then as normal both outwards and inwards.
Service 18 and 19 operate as normal to Albert Bridge Road, then via Castlereagh Street to Beersbridge Road and then as normal both outwards and inwards.
Metro - Botanic Avenue Road Closure 15-May-2008 16:02
Botanic Avenue will be closed to all traffic countrybound only between University Square and College Park for water mains work from Saturday 17th May until Sunday 25th May inclusive.
Countrybound Metro services will operate as normal until Botanic Avenue, then turn left into University Street and then right on to the Ormeau Road and then continuing as normal. Four temporary bus stops will be in place on Univeristy Street.
Citybound Metro services will not be affected and will operate as per normal.

Metro - Corporation Street Closure 1-Apr-2008 12:43
Corporation Street will be closed due to the construction of a storm water/sewage collection cistern at the junction with Corporation Square. This work will take approximately 26 months to complete and the 61 service will operate on a diversionary route throughout the works.
OUTWARD via YORK STREET direct to BROUGHAM STREET omitting DUNBAR LINK and CORPORATION STREET.
INWARD via NELSON STREET to DUNBAR LINK omitting CORPORATION STREET and then as normal to City Centre.
Metro - Hightown Road Closure 21-Jan-2008 10:19
The Hightown Road will be closed at the Hightown Bridge from Mallusk Road to Derry Road (including Derry Road junction with Hightown Road) for a period of one year commencing Sunday 27th January 2008 to facilitate the building works for the replacement bridge.
Roughfort services will be diverted via Antrim Road, Sandyknowes, Scullions Road, Mallusk Road to Roughfort.
There will be a minibus service operating between Hightown Road turning circle and Bellevue turning circle from 0730 to 1800. Normal fares apply on this service and tickets issued for journeys beyond Bellevue will be transferable to other Metro services servicing Glengormley.
Passengers traveling to Hightown turning circle from the city will be able to transfer to the minibus service on production of a valid ticket.
Ulsterbus - M2 Motorway Delays 16-May-2008 18:41
Due to an oil spillage on the M2 Motorway, Goldline servcis will be subject delays.
This will affect services 210, 212, 218, 119, 220, 253 and 300.
Ulsterbus - Roadworks Ballymoney to Ballymena 16-May-2008 8:58
Due to roadworks, the main A26 Frosses Road (southbound only) will be closed to traffic from its junction with the Kilraughts Road Roundabout to its junction with the Station Road, Dunloy from Tuesday 20th May 2008 for a period of eight weeks. This will affect Ulsterbus services 173 and 218 between Ballymoney and Ballymena.
Passengers between these two points will get picked up or dropped off at either end of the diversion.
All services will use the following diversion:
Ballymoney, Garryduff Road, Dunloy, Station Road Dunloy back onto the main A26.
The 218 stop on the Kilraughts Road, Ballymoney, southbound will be suspended.
A temporary stop will be located adjacent to Ballymoney High School
The Ulsterbus service 173 stops on the Ballymena Road past Carnany will also be suspended.

Ulsterbus - Disruption to Coleraine Services - North West 200 3-May-2008 9:41
Translink wish to advise passengers that with the forthcoming North West race event (Saturday 17 May 2008) Coleraine bus services will be subject to disruption, delays and a revised timetable from Monday 12 May until Saturday 17 May 2008.
In addition the Metropole stop in Portrush will be suspended after 1700 Monday 12 until Sunday 18 May 2008 due to the North West race event. Passengers are advised to use the stop at Dunluce Avenue.

Ulsterbus - Newry By Pass May 2008-2009 9-May-2008 17:03
On Monday 12 May Lagan Construction will begin rock blasting at Cloghogue Roundabout and on the bypass.
This will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 1100 and 1500. This work is scheduled to take place up until May 2009.
Each road closure is estimated to be 20 minutes and some delays may be experienced during this time.
This will affect Ulsterbus service 43 to Forkhill and service 200 travelling to Dublin.
We would advise passengers to allow additional time for their journeys and especially if travelling to Dublin Airport and Dublin.

Ulsterbus - Crossgar Bus Stop Suspension 23-Apr-2008 12:27
Translink wish to advise passengers that commencing Monday 28th April 2008 the bus stop at the Carman's Inn in Crossgar (opposite the Chapel) will be temporarily suspended.
All intending passengers should make their way to the new temporary stop at the Post Office in Crossgar. All bus services, including school buses, will transfer to this stop. All other stops remain unaffected.

NI Railways will operate additional trains today, Friday 16th May for passengers attending the Balmoral Show:
1915hrs service from Balmoral to Portadown stopping at Lisburn, Moira, Lurgan and Portadown ONLY.
1825hrs service from Belfast Central to Ballymena stopping at Mossley West, Antrim and Ballymena ONLY.

NI Railways - Londonderry Line Closure 9-May-2008 8:14
Translink wish to advise passengers that on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 May 2008 the railway line between Coleraine and Londonderry will be closed for works.
Saturday 24 May 2008
The 2120 service from Belfast Great Victoria Street to Londonderry will now operate through to Portrush.
This will require the 2250 service from Coleraine to Londonderry to be operated by a bus substitution service. The above bus replacement will also service Castlerock and Bellarena and add approximately 30 to 45 minutes on to the normal arrival time.
Normal train services will operate before the above departure
Sunday 25 May 2008
A bus substitution service from Londonderry will depart at 1015 (20 minutes earlier than the published time) and will operate direct to Coleraine for a connecting train service to Belfast.
This bus connection will not service Bellarena.
The first train from Londonderry to Belfast will start at Castlerock at the advertised departure time of 1109.
Passengers from Londonderry wishing to travel to Castlerock should travel on the bus connection to Coleraine and change onto the 1120 train service from Coleraine to Castlerock.
Normal train services will operate after the above departure

Translink wish to advise the public of rail services operating from Portrush to Belfast to accomodate passengers travelling from the North West Race Event on Saturday the 17 May 2008.

Passengers travelling to Lisburn, Lurgan and Portadown are required to change at Belfast Great Victoria Street.

Whitehead Park & Ride Carpark - Extension Work 1-May-2008 10:20
Work on the extension of the Park & Ride carpark at Whitehead will begin on Monday 12th May and will last for approximately 20 weeks. To enable work to take place, up to 5 current spaces will be temporarily closed.
