  Chairman's Foreword
Dr Joan Smyth CBE This plan is consistent with the RegionalTransportation Strategy (RTS) 2002 - 2012, which envisages a significant upgrade in the provision of public transport and targets growth in passenger numbers over the next 10 years.
The Northern Ireland Transport Holding Company will continue to work with Government and the community to deliver the goals of the RTS through the programme of change outlined in this plan.

  Chief Executive's Introduction
Keith Moffatt This Corporate Plan builds on the significant change programme that commenced in 2004/5. It outlines the changes that have been introduced in the last year and demonstrates how Translink plans to attract more passengers to bus and rail services through careful investment and reform to our networks and services. Translink recognises that this can only be achieved through close partnership with Government, the Department for Regional Development and other key stakeholders.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the management and staff of Translink for their excellent effort, support and commitment to delivering the first stages of our change programme during the last year. The plans set out in this Plan are designed to continue the process of change and help to provide a secure future for public transport in Northern Ireland.
