Passenger's Charter

Passengers with particular needs

We welcome passengers with particular needs and we are committed to providing a service which everyone can use.

If you need help when travelling on our services, please call your local bus or railway station between 9am and 5pm at least 24 hours before you travel. We will help you plan your journey to make it as quick and easy as possible.

We are continuing to introduce low-floor buses to both the Metro and Ulsterbus services. The new C3k trains are more accessible and we are training our staff in how to deal with passengers who have particular travel needs.

Our new bus and rail stations have the following facilities.

  • Ramps
  • An induction loop (for people who are deaf or hard of hearing)
  • Low-level windows in sales offices
  • A low-level phone
  • Easy-to-read signs
  • A toilet which is suitable for people who use wheelchairs
  • A baby-changing room.

We are proud of the level of facilities we provide at our new stations and we are going to make sure that these standards will cover other stations.

You can get copies of ‘Getting Out and About’ factsheets (guides to more accessible transport in Northern Ireland) from:
