Catherine Mason, Conor Murphy and Gerry Adams meet Coláiste Feirste pupils.
23 October 2008:

Translink and NITHC Catherine Mason, Transport Minister Conor Murphy MP MLA, West Belfast MP & MLA Gerry Adams along with Coláiste Feirste pupils Caitlin Ni Chaireallain and Ciarán Mac Cuuladh launch Translink’s new safety bus that aims to educate young people on appropriate behaviour on or near buses. Over the past 6 years the bus has visited more than 150,000 pupils and it is expected that 25,000 pupils will climb onboard this academic year. The new bus has been revamped with a range of new features including: eye-catching exterior graphics reflecting the diversity of Translink passengers; onboard safety signage; improved access for those with disabilities; real-time CCTV; a new destination screen and widescreen monitors for multi-media presentations as well as comfortable onboard seating. Schools interested in receiving a visit from the new Translink Safety Bus should contact 028 9030 1732
