Hop Aboard A Bus Or Train This Summer!

5 July 2006

Joey the Kangaroo reckons you’ll be ‘hopping mad’ if you don’t make the most of public transport this summer to do a bit of sight-seeing, take a family trip, or if you’re a senior citizen, travel completely free.

In a bid to encourage people to get out and about and spend more time with the family, to visit some of Northern Ireland’s top attractions and avoid the hassles of parking, Translink has introduced special summer rates across its bus and rail network.

Translink’s £17.50 Family Day tickets allow unlimited travel for up to two adults and four children on all bus and rail services within Northern Ireland on any day of the week, while ‘Freedom of Northern Ireland’ tickets offer unlimited bus and rail travel for one, three or seven days.  Due to popular demand Translink has also brought back its £7 Rail Day Tracker tickets.
