Ulsterbus have announced a massive 10% increase in passenger demand for travel to Dublin. In welcoming this they are introducing an all-new hourly Belfast to Dublin City Centre service (Via Dublin Airport), from Monday 12 December.
This latest enhancement sees services departing on the hour every hour from 6am until 9pm both directions from Belfast and Dublin every day, offering passengers the extensive choice of 32 services to and from Dublin daily Monday to Sunday.
In addition to the new hourly service, there is a special £4.80 single early bird offer for people travelling on the 6am Dublin bound service. The price of a standard adult fare is an economical £6.90 single and £10.30 return.
“This 10% increase in passenger numbers very much demonstrates that our cross-border bus passengers are voting with their feet,” explained Billy Gilpin, Translink’s Central Area Manager, “We hope these latest service improvements and the great value tickets will appeal to even more passengers and comes just in time for last minute shopping in Dublin.
“This increase in passenger numbers is a trend being repeated throughout the company, following a program of developments across the network including the revamp of our flagship Goldline Express services, and the introduction of Metro, the new greater Belfast bus service,” he said.
