Red Card for Incorrect Crossing

23 September 2003

Frank Moore Translink’s Area Controller, ‘Red Cards’ Jordanstown Students Sarah Loye from Newry and Lesley Bell from Ballynahinch to highlight the dangers of not paying attention while using the Jordanstown Level Crossing.

As part of Translink’s interactive approach to keep rail safety at the forefront of student minds, the company is reintroducing its ‘Safety Quiz’ - offering one student the opportunity to win a Translink Student Discount Card and an Autumn Season Ticket, valid for free unlimited travel between Belfast and Jordanstown. A further six lucky runners-up will win free Translink Student Discount Cards.

Competition entry forms and information leaflets are available from Translink’s manned information kiosk on the mall, from the Students’ Union, and from the Jordanstown Railway Station during Fresher Week.

For further information on Translink's safety initiatives, log onto www.translink.co.uk.

Ends.
