There’s certainly a new Santa in town aka Translink’s Claire Howe who’s been using the Enterprise cross border rail service to do all her Christmas shopping, particularly as NI Railways and Irish Rail have worked together to ensure that from this Saturday (4 December) weekend line closures to facilitate Irish Rail engineering works will be suspended until 7th January 2005.
NI Railways and Irish Rail appreciate that some passengers may have been inconvenienced by the programme of Saturday and Sunday engineering works and hope that this revised service gives them the opportunity to enjoy cross border travel during the Christmas season. Engineering work will recommence on the 8th January and will be in place for another five months.
